Having been successful in a Europe wide tendering process, the Meercat team swiftly started construction on this ‘swiss army knife of vessels, capable of being a port service vessel one day and a bona fide dredging vessel the next. The specification included a bow thruster, fire fighting capabilities, full dredging spread with hydraulic cutter and jetting head, and hydraulically operated spud legs.
