The Meercat Boats, Vixen, owned by Carmet Group, has been spotted undertaking bridge repair works along the Manchester Ship Canal, along which she has operated since her launch in 2011.

Vixen is currently under contract to CT Construction. She is currently a key element in the reparation and strengthening to a bank that had collapsed under the A57 near to Irlam.

The 14.5 metreĀ  Meercat Boat is coded to MCA Workboat Code Cat 2 (60 miles), and is operated by two crew. Her free Running Speed is c.8 knots, with a Bollard Pull of c.3t, displacement of 29t a Deck Carrying Capacity of c.26t and a draft of 0.8m. She is powered by 2x Doosan L136, total 320bhp.
